NIGER ANSSC ELECT ALHAJI NMA KOLO AS CHAIRMAN
The Chairman of Niger State Badminton Association, Alhaji Nma Kolo was on Thursday elected has as the new Chairman Association of Niger State Sports Chairmen (ANSSC).
Nma Kolo, a sports philanthropist who is also the Special Adviser to the state Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago was elected unopposed as chairman by the one third majority of members present during the election.
The election took place at the Niger Tornadoes football club conference hall, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Minna, Dr. Yakubu Bello who is the Chairman of Scrabble Association Niger state also emerged as Vice chairman of the association.
Other members elected into the executive Board includes Mohammed Umar from the state taekwando association was elected as the Secretary General while Hajiya Fatima Ndayako who is the chairperson of the state karate association was returned as Treasurer/Financial Secretary
The Congress also unanimously endorsed mallam Suleiman Isah representing the paralympic community to serve in the executive Board as the Public Relation officer PRO.
In an acceptance speech on behalf of the board, the Vice Chairman, Dr. Yakubu Bello expressed appreciation to members of the Congress for finding them worthy to serve in the various capacities.
Yakubu Bello who is also the Permanent Secretary, state Ministry of Agriculture assured that the 5-man executive will do everything possible to give the state sports sector a new lease of life.
He said, “I want to thank you for finding us worthy to serve in the various capacities, I assure you that we will not let you down”.
