NECO awards dedicated staff,commissions projects.

The National Examination Counci,(NECO) commissions over 20 projects,purchased 70 logistics vehicles, just as dedicated staff were presented with awards.
The Chief registrar/Chief Executive of NECO,Prof DanladiĀ Ibrahim Wushishi disclosed this in Minna last Saturday, while commissioning various projects executed in the last two years since his assumption to office.
Dantani said uopn his assumption to office two years ago, critical assessment of NECO activities was undertaken for a positive turnaround and some projects were approved by the governing Board.
During the period, the Counci was committed in providing quality assessment and ensuared the integrity of our Nation’s secondary School examinations through the over whelming support of theĀ minister of Education.
“Today, we are celebrating the comissioning of saveral outstanding projects that represents a significant milestone in NECO’s pursuit of continuous excellence in the conduct of reliable and credible examinations in the country.”
Professor Wushishi pointed out that the purchase of 70 logistics vehicles marks a significant milestone in NECO’s quest to ensure seamless and timely delivery of examination materials to all centres Nation wide to eliminate logistical challenges.
Dantani stated that three newĀ NECO offices are under construction in Katstina, Gombe and Kogi states and have reached 70 percent completion ,”iam happy to announce that the National assembly has appropriated NECO to construct seven new additional offices in Nasarawa,Rivers,Lagos, Sokoto,Taraba and Abia States.
Some of the Projects commissioned includes, the Building and equipping of the Driver’s pool,establishing and equipping of the NECO data and scanning centers, construction of a block of classrooms for senior secondary section of NECO staff School.
In his address at the occasion,the representative of the Minister of Education ,Professor Tahir Mamman, the permanent secretary of the Ministry,Dr Andrew Adejo commended the Registrar of NECO,Prof Danladi for his forsight, stressing that Education remains the cardinal objective of the present administration.
