NIGER STATE SDGS SET TO MEET IT’S TARGET
The Director General, Sustainable Development Goals, (SDGs) in Niger state Mallam Abubakar Musa says he is set to meet up with the SDGs target and called for a sustained partnership with critical stakeholders across the state for the smooth implementation of the Goals
Abubakar Musa said this on Thursday when he paid an official visit to the Chairman New Niger Project saying there is need to explore areas of achieving desired results for the SDGs programmes
He said the SDGs under his leadership was poised to open up windows that will compliment Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago New Niger Agenda and therefore solicit the support of the leadership of the New Niger Project.
He described the SDGs as a multifaceted Agency that have a stake in all the sectors of the State economy stressing that he will continue to engage stakeholders within and outside the State for the purpose of achieving desired results.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the New Niger Project, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha Bida, FCNA, (Sarkin Dawakin Nupe) described the New Niger Project under his watch as a structure under the Governor’s office initiated to ensure successful implementation of project initiatives of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago led administration in conformity with due diligence.
Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha said he understood the importance of synergy among Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and that all hands should be on deck to deliver the desired New Niger where decent infrastructure reigns assuring the DG and his team of his support to enable the SDGs succeed.
