EID-EL-KABIR: NIGER SSG FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH, HARPS ON PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE
As Muslims all over the world celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, the Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has urged the Muslims Ummah to uphold the lesson of love, loyalty and sacrifice which is the foundation of the festival.
The SSG who disclosed this in his message to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir on behalf of the Government and people of the State, further stated that Eid-el Kabir festival offer another opportunity for sober reflection and spiritual renewal which God demands from the faithful.
Alhaji Usman admonished Muslims faithful to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication and obedience to higher authority as demonstrated in Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in deference to the will of God, which Eid-el Kabir commemorates.
He said the present administration led by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago is committed to the progress and development of the State, hence the need for Nigerlites to support the laudable programmes and policies of Government designed to better the living standard of the populace.
He implored the Muslim faithful and adherents of other faiths in the State to make peaceful coexistence their watchword and work together for a more peaceful and prosperous State, which would be the delight of all.
