Kauran Gwandu Mouthpiece presents prestigious award to CPS
The Kauran Gwandu Mouthpeace, a Non Governmental Organization, has presented an award of excellence to the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris.
Presenting the award in Birnin Kebbi, the association’s Chairman, Abubakar Mohammed Abk pointed out that they decided to honour the Chief Press Secretary due to his hard work and dedication to duty.
“We want to proudly make it clear without mixing of words that he his the best press secretary of our time, in view of his simplicity, humility, sincerity and accommodating.
“Alhaji Ahmed idris is performing his duties according to the ethics of his profession, hence the decision of Kauran Gwandu Mouthpeace to honour him with an award of excellence,” he said.
Mohammed Abk then urged other Press Secretaries to the governors to emulate Alhaji Ahmed idris in discharging their duties with all sense of committement, efficiency, and diligence.
Responding, the Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed idris, expressed appreciation for what he described as an unexpected honour not only to him and his family but to the entire men of the pen profession.
He assured them that the gesture would stimulate him to sustain the good work of promoting government policies and programmes for effective performance.
Alhaji Ahmed idris stated that the present administration in the state under the leadership of Comrade Dr Nasir idris was committed to improving the welfare of the people and providing job opportunities to the teaming unemployed youth in the state.
While assuring them of the state government’s readiness to assist and support any association promoting activities of the state government, the CPS called on them to continue supporting government policies and programmes for effective performance.
