It was a jubilation galore at Kutigi the headquarters of Lavun Local government as Joshua Audu Gana Member representing the people of, Lavun, Edati and Mokwa federal constituencies under the umbrella of the people’s Democratic party PDP doled out cash gifts and economic empowerment for Women and youth.
The law maker who was at Kutigi last Saturday to showcase his gratitude to the people of his constituency over his victory at the 2023 polls and successes on litigation at various courts of law decided to celebrate his one year in office with the people of his constituency.
The mammoth crowd at the occasion were singing a slogan in Nupe dialect,”PDP fe zhin”, “meaning PDP come back,, “Joshua thank you”you are the real son of your father”they decried the cercumstance which they found themselves as unbearable due to abject poverty and hunger as a result of high cost of food stuffs.
At the occasion, grinding engines, Sawing machines, starter packs and cash were distributed to over 120 beneficiaries,among them is Elizabeth Sunday and Fatima Saidu Muwo,appreciates the kind gesture of Joshua Gana for inspiring them to have their source of living.
In his address at the occasion,the federal representative of Lavun, Edati and Mokwa,Dr Joshua Gana said the gesture is in the recognition of the good people of the constituency for their support and prayers and thanked the elders of the party PDP for their fatherly role to achieve success.
“This is just the beginning of good things to come,my green chamber Agenda’s theme ” is people matter’s more than things”,i value people’s feelings more than any other things and by the grace of God i will not relent,”Joshua assured.
The state Chairman of the people’s Democratic party (PDP),,Barr Tanko Beji commended the courage of the Member for committing such huge resources for the welfare of his people at this trying period,”this effort has no doubt redeem the image of PDP.
PDP stalwarts that grace the occasion includes former SSG,Saidu Idris Kpaki, former speaker of the state house of assembly,Hon Musa Ma-ali, PDP serving members of the state house of assembly, Hon Ahmed Rokota, and former commissioners.
