Yobe state to invest on agric business, to be an investment hub on livestock,soya bean and sesame-Dr Isah.

Yobe state government has proposed an investment plan on Agricultural business towards making the state a livestock hub in Nigeria.
The Director General of the Yobe state agency for public partnership and investment promotion (YAPPP),Dr Isah Aliyu stated this in MINNA while speaking in an interview at the end of a seminar organised for the 36 states by the NPPN hosted by the Niger state government.
DG said each state investment and development varies but in “Yobe state under the leadership of Governor Mala Buni, the state will soon be supplier of Soya bean, sesame and gum Arabic in addition to the livestock products.
He disclosed that the government of Yobe State discover that through PPP the state can achieve a lot the reason why the law establishing the Yobe state agency for public private partnership and investment promotion was promulgated in 2023.
“We have review the law and have come up with the state policy on PPP,along with the state frame work, after network links with other states in Nigeria including Embassies of some countries, other regulatory bodies all geared towards attracting investment in Yobe state”.
Dr Isah further explained that the, theme of this seminar” is to enhance food security in Nigeria” which is the pet project of governor Mala Buni knowing that the world have gone far interms of infrastructure using PPP as a vehicle.”
According to him,the state will soon lunch a mega agricultural program to disabuse the mind of people against the insecurity, adding that, the security agencies have been put on their toes by the governor to make the state secured.
Dr Aliyu said “There is not much to be worried over security situation in Yobe state, insecurity is not an issue for now,as famers are going to there farms making farmers to have access to their various farms for bumper harvest this farming season”.
He described the seminar as a forum where issues for the development of every states was delibrated as ideas and solutions were preferred on the way forward and shared amongst the states.
