PCN rewards Paralympics medallists, contingent
Inorder to boost the morale of paralympians who won medals in the team Nigeria  contingent to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the President of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN), Sunday Odebode, has announced cash rewards for the team.
Gold medallists received
$1500, silver medallists $1000, and bronze medallists $500.
Also each member of the 23-man contingent who did not win a medal, along with their officials, received $100 each while the coaches received the sum of  $100 for their guidance.
In his remarks, Odebode extolled the team for making the country proud by winning two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals across all participating sports of para athletics, para badminton, para powerlifting, and para table tennis.
The presentation took place in the heart of the paris 2024 paralympic Games Village in Paris amidst jubilation after a keynote speech from the secretary General of the paralympic committee Nigeria Mallam suleiman Isah
 Odebode stressed that the gesture was meant to inspire the athletes so that they can continue to strive for more medals in future sporting events.
Responding on behalf of the team, head coach Nasiru Sule expressed gratitude to the PCN as a whole for the gesture and pledged that the team would continue to bring home more laurels in future competitions.
