Kaura receives with excitement GGSS Tudun Wada students, runners-up of NSE’s JETs competition

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has expressed excitement while receiving students of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Tudun Wada, who won second positions in the Nigeria Society of Engineer’s JETs competition.

Receiving the students awards in Birnin Kebbi, the governor commended the students and their teachers for their outstanding performance, assuring them of his commitment towards promoting educational sector.

The governor, who was a teacher and rose to the position of National President of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), applauded the Principal of the school and his able lieutenants for writing the name of the state in Gold.

He observed that history would never forget the sacrifices they have made for the state to attain such a feat of glory and urged them to sustain the tempo for the good of all.

“I was once a teacher and I will make sure that I support education sector in order to give our children the best education in the state,” he assured.

In his remark, the leader of the delegation and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Muhammad Maccido thanked the governor for allowing them to participate in the competition, where the contingent of Kebbi State emerged second.

“Without your support, we cannot achieve this. This is a testiment to the fact that as Chief Executive Officer of the state, you have demonstrated a strong commitment towards strengthening our education system,” he said.
