Assassin’s of former permanent secretary in niger state arrested by police

It was free flow of tears at the residence of former permanent secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Mr Adamu Jagaba who was assassinated last Saturday at his block industry located at the Eastern by pass MINNA.
The Niger state police public relations officer of the state Command,Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident stated that on 7th December, 2024 at about 3pm, a report of an incident of culpable homicide was made at Tudun-Wada Division.
According to the report at about ,11.30am, of the faithful day group of persons trespassed to a block industry located along Eastern Bye-pass, Minna, attacked and stabbed one Adamu Jagaba on the head and made away with his vehicle.
The report added that the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead, while the police operatives of the Division visited the scene and have commenced investigation into the unfortunate incident.
It was gathered that the suspect who is a resident of Tayi village in MINNA,Fatayi Abdulhakeem aged 18 years went away with the victims Toyota Camry and headed to Bosso Eastate where he was apprehend on the same day by 7pm by the Police Crack Squad of the Command. .
During interrogation, the suspect who is a Car painter (panel beater) confessed to have visited him at his block industry located at Eastern Bye-pass, via Maitumbi opposite PDP Secretariat Minna. to change the vehicle’s bumper, and deliberately stabbed the deceased severally on the head and neck, also with a stapler in the office and made away with his Toyota Camry vehicle with Reg. No. MNA 61 AE.
He confessed further that he conspired with some of the deceased workers, who gave him the target and more information in carrying out the crime.
He also disclosed to the police other gang members he usually carried out such heinous acts with, while the police is now making efforts to apprehend the remaining members and said the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution, immediately after investigation.
Our reporter gathered that the Architect Adamu Jagaba retired as a permanent secretary in the year 2022 from Ministry of Environment and forestry
At the residence of the decease one of the daughter Barr Synthia Jagaba of Madueke and associate Chambers in Abuja, described her father’s death as a shock, disclosed that the suspect usually drives his Dad around to the Block industry,Daje Dymaxion along Eastern by pass opposite PDP Secretariat MINNA.
