Bench warrant on MD polaris bank still subsist as justice maimuna vacate the Minna branch Manager warrant

Justice Maimuna Abubakar of Minna High Court Number Six,has insisted that the warrant of arrest issued on the Managing Director of Polaris Bank Mr Omokayode Lawal must be enforced
The second defendant in the case, the Minna branch manager of the bank was in court while the Managing Director, Mr. Omokayode Lawal was conspicuously absence in court for the second time
She however vacated the order on the arrest of the Minna branch manager of the bank on the request of the defense counsel Umaru O Sule SAN.
Justice Maimuna Abubakar had earlier on Monday, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the Managing Director of the bank and the Minna branch manager of the bank.
The Niger State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) has through its lawyer Mohammed Kudu Ndayako SAN approached the Minna High Court Number Six to demand for the payment of the tax amounting to over N 1 billion
At the Friday resumed sitting of the court the defence counsel to the Polaris Bank, Barrister Umaru O. Sule SAN applied that the court should vacate the earlier bench warrant of arrest on the Managing Director of the bank.
He argued that the court Should vacate the earlier bench warrant Issued on the two defendants for their arrest on the ground that there is a move to settle out of court with the plaintiff.
On his own part, the counsel to the State Revenue Service (NSIRS) Mohammed Kudu Ndayako SAN represented by Barrister Mustapha Nda Bida submitted that the application of the ” the learned SIlk is premature at this early stage”
He then objected to the application for the vacation of the bench warrant as moved by the counsel to the defendants.
In her brief ruling on the application Justice Maimuna Abubakar then vacated the bench warrant Issued on the Minna branch manager of the bank and insisted that the bench warrant on the Managing Director of the Mr Omokayode Lawal still remain.
She then adjourned the case to a date to be communicated to the both counsels.
