Empowerment: Sen. Bello distributes starter packs to 177 youths, women in Niger

Sen. Abubakar Bello, (APC/Niger) has distributed starter packs to empower 177 trained beneficiaries of his skills acquisition programme in Niger state.

Abubakar made the distribution on Monday to the participants across the 8 local government areas of the his Niger North Senatorial zone in Kontagora Local Government Area of the state.

He said the gesture was to empower the beneficiaries to be economically self reliant and contribute positively to the development of the state.

The lawmaker, who is the immediate past Governor of the state, reiterated his commitment to improve the lives of his constituents by promoting productivity.

“This is part of a broader strategy in fostering financial independence and sustainable development across Zone C,” he said.

Bello also reaffirmed his determination to deliver the dividends of democracy through impactful projects tailored to address critical challenges in the constituency.

“These projects are a testament to my resolve to uplift the living standards of the people in Zone C.

“They are not isolated efforts but part of a sustainable development framework that aligns with Federal Government’s policies to bridge infrastructural gaps and drive economic growth.”

Responding, Mr Mohammed Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries, appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.

He pledged to ensure proper utilisation of the packs to improve on their standard of living and their family members.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the projects and skills acquired include essential infrastructure upgrades, skill in tailoring service, hair dressing, carpentry, painting, catering and poultry farming.

Community leaders and representatives from the eight LGAs under Zone C expressed gratitude for the lawmaker’s efforts.

They described the initiatives as transformative and timely
