Gov. Idris releases over N585m tuition fees for Kebbi indigenes studying in India
The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has approved the release of N585 million for the payment of tuition fees of 100 Kebbi State indigenes studying in various universities in India.
The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon. Isa Abubakar-Tunga disclosed this while briefing Journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
He said: “The Kebbi State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, the Education Promoter, has approved and released N585,416,690:00 for the payment of Tuition Fees of 100 students indigenes of Kebbi State studying in various universities in India.
“The Ministry of Higher Education remains indebted to His Excellency. No doubt, the Governor’s efforts towards promoting academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education shall go into the annals of history.”
The commissioner appealed to the entire citizens of Kebbi State to consistently pray for the continued success of the present administration under the good leadership of the governor.
