Gov Bago stops payment of PTA fees in all schools.

Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has promised to pay parents teachers association P.T.A fees for pupils in primary and secondary schools across the state.
Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago announced this while speaking in Sarkin Pawa, the headquarters of Munya local government area,when he visited the area as part of his ongoing state tour to the area yesterday.
The governor further explained that the government had taken the responsibility of PTA of all children in public schools in the state,and asked parents and guardians not to pay PTA fees for their children any more.
He also warned Headmasters and Principals in public schools to stop collecting PTA from any school children, warning that any one found wanting would be severely dealt with accordingly.
He had in many occasions advised parents to enroll their wards into school especially the girl child, adding that school uniform should not be impediment to any children from going to school,saying children can go to school with their personal dresses.
“Allow your children to go to school, even without school uniforms, school uniforms to your wards should not be your problem,and any teacher that send your child back home,please report him,he will also be send packing from the school”Bago warned.
The governor has expressed satisfaction with the on-giong road projects in the area and urged the Contractor handling the project to ensure timely completion.
Bago also promised to construct road from Sarikin Pawa to Kaduna State, construct modern market,provide potable drinking water as well as primary health care among others.
The Chairman,Munya local government area Hon Aminu Najumi,lauded the governor for his people oriented projects in the area, describing his one year land mark achievements as unprecedented.
