Niger govt to build new houses for IDP’S in three Communities of Shiroro local government.

Niger state government is to construct three thousand modern houses in three communities, Allawa, Kuribi and Erena in  Shiroro local government areas of the state for internally displaced persons.

The Governor disclosed this at  Gwada in Shiroro local government area as part of his continuation of  the state wide tour of inspection of projects.

He further explained that one thousand new homes each will be build in Alawa, Kuribi and Erena to accommodate displaced persons from this areas due to the activities of bandits in the area.

“We have discussed with the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Farouk Bahago to allocate free lands for the government to commence the projects, already government has placed order for the  procurement of equipments from South Africa for the molding of blocks for the construction of the houses” Bago re-enphasised.

He however  disclosed that such new homes will serve as temporary homes for the DIP’S pending when the security improve in their villages.

The  governor also assured the people that all public schools in the area affected by the activities of the bandits would be rehabilitated and equiped with teaching and learning facilities.

” I will  like to use this opportunity to appeal to the people of the area to be patient with both federal and state governments so as to enable it tackle the insecurity that have pose a serious  predicaments to the people of the area”

Bago also promised to construct new roads from Mararaban Dan Daudu to Gwada,and from Gwada to Kuta,as well as construct modern market in Gwada,and new general hospital during his tenure..

Earlie,the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator  Sani Musa appreciated the people of Gwada for their support to the state government.

The Chairman, Shiroro local council and the representative of the Gwada community, Professor James Galadima expressed delight over the tireless efforts of governor Bago to uplift the living standard of rural communities in the state.
