Gov. Idris urges people of Fakai LG to sustain support for present administration
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has urged the people of Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State to sustain their support to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to gain more dividends of democracy in their area.
He disclosed this while addressing religious leaders and traditional rulers at the Chief of Fakai Chiefdom palace at Mahuta, Fakai Local Government Area.
The governor observed that the achievements recorded by the APC administration across the state were glaring and visible, hence the need for people to reciprocate the gesture by supporting all government’s policies and programmes.
“You people should not allow anybody with selfish interest to deceive you to leave the party without any reason, I think I have started fulfilling my campaign promises.
“You people are living witness, you can testify the achievements recorded by my administration in just less than two years,” he said.
The governor recalled that when he came onboard, he purchased fertilisers and distributed it free to farmers, distributed free foodstuff to less privileged across the 21 local government, constructed more schools and renovated some existing ones.
The governor promised that his administration would continue to support traditional institutions and religion leaders being the pillar and path to societal growth and development.
In his remarks, the Chief of Fakai Chiefdom Alhaji Hudu Dan Mallam thanked the governor for not only supporting his people but also the entire people of Kebbi State.
“I must confess that your one and half years as governor of Kebbi State undoubtedly touched the lives of the masses.
“As everyone can see, you have renovated my palace and you have approved some roads construction in my domain, I have nothing to offer to you rather than to pray for your success,” he said.
