The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman on behalf of the Government and the good people of the State has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration.

The SSG in his message disclosed that Eid el-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is a time of joy, gratitude, and reflection, stressing that it is a moment to celebrate the spiritual renewal and self-discipline cultivated during the month-long fast.

Alhaji Usman commended the Muslim faithful for their devotion, prayers, and acts of charity throughout Ramadan period and encourages all citizens to uphold the values of peace, unity, and compassion that define this sacred period.

He emphasized the importance of fostering harmony and mutual respect among all residents of the State.

The SSG reiterated the Government’s commitment to promoting inclusive development, ensuring the security of lives and property, and creating an enabling environment for economic growth and social well-being.

As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, let us remember the less privileged in our midst and extend a hand of kindness to them. Let us also continue to pray for the peace and progress of Niger State and our nation, Nigeria, the SSG requested.

According to Alhaji Usman, “Government remains steadfast in its resolve to build a prosperous and united State for all”.

The Secretary to the State Government also urged citizens to celebrate responsibly, adhere to safety guidelines, and remain vigilant in the face of security challenges. He called on community leaders, religious institutions, and all stakeholders to work together to promote peaceful coexistence and national unity.
