NIGER SSG RECEIVES PARTICIPANTS OF EXECUTIVE INTELLIGENCE MANAGEMENT COURSE 18 OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR SECURITY STUDIES ABUJA

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman received Participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 18 from the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja, who are on a study tour of Niger State at Azzarah Lodge, Minna.

In his welcome address, the SSG who was represented by Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Makusidi, Permanent Secretary, General Services, SSG’s Office expressed delight at hosting the distinguished Participants, noting that the study tour reflects the Institute’s commitment to practical, experiential learning and the strategic importance of Niger State in Nigeria’s security architecture.

Alhaji Usman revealed that the State is pleased to host these senior security officials and executives who represent the future leadership of our nation’s security apparatus.

He further stated that the visit offers a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and strengthens the collaborative relationship between Niger State and national security institutions.

The SSG reaffirmed Government’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives that will enhance national security and expressed hope that the study tour would yield valuable insights for both the Participants and the State.

Alhaji Usman highlighted the various security challenges and successes experienced in the State, emphasizing the State Government’s innovative approaches to maintaining peace and security in collaboration with other relevant agencies.

In his remarks, the leader of the NISS delegation, Mr. Rafiu Bolarinwa thanked the SSG for the warm reception accorded them since their arrival to the State and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn firsthand about the State’s security management strategies.

According to the delegation leader, the visit forms a crucial part of the course curriculum designed to expose participants to practical security challenges and solutions across different states of the federation.

Mr. Bolarinwa told the SSG that during their stay in Niger State, the NISS Participants will receive briefing from Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as wel as engage with key relevant stakeholders, and study the unique security dynamics of the state. The knowledge gained will contribute to their research projects and enhance their capacity as senior security managers.

The Executive Intelligence Management Course 18 Participants comprises senior officers from various security agencies, international Participants, and other strategic institutions, adding that the course is designed to prepare Participants for top leadership positions in Africa’s security architecture, Mr. Bolarinwa noted.
