NIGER STATE CHAPTER OF NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMISERATES WITH MOKWA COMMUNITY OVER FLOODING TRAGEDY

The Niger State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) extends heartfelt condolences to the people of Mokwa town, Mokwa Local Government Area, Niger State, following the devastating flooding that has claimed lives and properties.

We commiserate with families who lost loved ones and console those who suffered losses. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected individuals and communities.

We appeal to government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and philanthropic individuals to provide relief materials, including food, clothing, and medicine, to support the affected people. This gesture will help alleviate their suffering and prevent potential health crises.

We caution the community to avoid settling in flood-prone areas to prevent future occurrences. Sustainable development and emergency preparedness are crucial.

According to reports, the flooding has caused significant damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure, displacing many residents. The Niger State Government and other stakeholders must work together to provide support and develop strategies for flood mitigation.

The Niger State Chapter of NIPR is willing to partner with relevant stakeholders to provide support and guidance in this difficult time.
