Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum donates N3million for Mokwa victims

Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF), has donated N3million to the victims of Mokwa flood disaster in order to improve on their standard of living.
This is contained in a statement issued by the forum Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Liman and Secretary-General: Dr Mohammad Santuraki and made available to newsmen in Minna on Monday
Liman said that the tragic incident has brought immense sorrow and pain to the people of Mokwa and Zone A in particular and Niger State at large.
“I write to express the deepest condolences of the Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF) on the devastating flood disaster that has struck Mokwa Local Government Area, resulting in the loss of many lives and extensive destruction of property.
“This tragic incident has brought immense sorrow and pain to the people of Mokwa and Zone A in particular and Niger State at large.
“We stand in solidarity with the government, council staff, and the good people of Mokwa during this difficult time,” he said
According to him, As leaders and stakeholders, we stand ready to collaborate with your administration to provide relief and support to the affected communities.
“To demonstrate our commitment, our Forum is donating N3million to support the disaster victims,” he said
The forum’s Chairman prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rests.
” We pray that the Almighty God grants eternal rest to the departed souls and comfort to the bereaved families,” the statement added .

It would be recalled that on May 30, tragic flood disaster claimed the lives of over 152 persons.
