Mokwa flood: Busu Development Association commiserate with victims

The Busu Development Association (BUDA) in Lavun Local Government Area of Niger, has commiserated with victims and bereaved families of the Mokwa flood disaster.
The association also expressed its deepest condolences with Mokwa people, Bida Emirate and the state at large over the devastating flood, resulting in the loss of many lives and extensive destruction of property.
This is contained in a statement signed the BUDA’s Chairman and the Secretary, Dr Baba Ndako Kolo, and Alhaji Mohammed Baba Busu, and made available to newsmen in Minna.
“We wish to, on behalf of the entire people of Busu Development Association (BUDA), extend our deepest condolences to you, the people of Mokwa, families affected by the recent flood disaster.
“It is indeed heartbreaking to all and sundry that the tragic incident has brought serious sorrow and pain to the people of Mokwa Local Government Area,” it stated
“We are deeply saddened by the lost of lives and property, and our heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods,” the statement added.
The statement prayed God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
“Please accept our sincerest sympathies during this challenging period.
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the affected families find strength and resilience.
“We stand in solidarity with you during this difficult time,” BUDA said.
The association appealed to the government at all levels and humanitarian organisations to provide necessary support and relief to the victims of the flood disaster to cushion their lives.
BUDA however commended the federal and state governments as well as all those that have contributed towards alleviating the suffering and bringing succour to the affected families of flood disaster.
