DEMOCRACY DAY: NIGER SSG COMMENDS FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO FOR EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has rejoiced with His Excellency, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, and all citizens of the State on the occasion of the 2025 Democracy Day celebration.

The SSG in his message to the people of the State disclosed that this historic day marks another milestone in our nation’s democratic journey, reaffirming our collective commitment to peace, unity and progress.

Alhaji Usman further said that Niger State, under the visionary leadership of Governor Bago, has continued to witness unprecedented development in agriculture, infrastructure, education and healthcare, among other critical sectors.

The SSG lauded Governor Bago’s transformative initiatives, particularly his revolutionary approach to agricultural development, which has positioned the State as a leading hub for food security and economic empowerment.

He noted that the Governor’s dedication to grassroots engagement and inclusive governance has strengthened democratic values and fostered sustainable growth across the State.

The Secretary also commended the resilient and peace-loving people of the State for their unwavering support and cooperation with the present administration. He urged citizens to continue upholding the principles of democracy by promoting harmony, participating in governance and contributing to the State’s growth.

As we celebrate this year’s Democracy Day, the Niger State Government reaffirmed its commitment to delivering people-centered policies and programmes that will enhance the quality of life for all residents. The administration remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, good governance and the overall prosperity of the State, Alhaji Usman stated.
