Etsu Nupe mourns Tsoida Nupe’s death

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, has described the death of late Alhaji Mustafa Yusuf, Tsoida Nupe, as a great loss to the Kin Nupe, Niger and Nigeria as a whole.
Late Tsoida Nupe died at the age of 116 years after a brief illnesses at the Federal Medical Center, (FMC) Bida in Niger
Etsu Nupe stated this at his Wadata Palace in Bida on Saturday while reacting to the death of the elder statesman.
He said the late Tsoida Nupe was a pious, philanthropic, patriotic and peace-loving man adding that the death was a big blow and colossal loss to the entire emirate.
“The entire kin Nupe has lost a great peace promoter, a rare gem and a great leader who ensures peaceful co-existence among the different ethnic groups in the area.
The late Tsoida Nupe was a peace maker, promoter of peace, a bridge builder and he had also contributed a lot to the development of not only the emirate but to the state and the country in general,” he declared.
The first class traditional ruler said he received with great shock the demise of late Mustafa Yusuf, describing him as a complete gentleman.
“The late Tsoida Nupe was Godly and showed love to his people, irrespective of tribal or religious inclinations,” he said.
He described the deceased as a bridge builder, an amiable personality, who was at home with his people, noting that his demise has created a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
He was indeed unique in his leadership style and was deep in his faith in Almighty Allah. May his exemplary leadership in promoting peace, unity and progress amongst the people of Bida Emirate and Kin Nupe be remembered as his legacy towards making Nigeria a better place to live,” the Etsu Nupe said.
He prayed God to grant his soul eternal peace, and grant members of his family, Bida emirate, kin Nupe and the state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
