Bagudo PDP Chairman, others defect to APC
Abubakar Mohammed-Bagudo, former Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, some of his exco and other supporters have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Other exco that joined the former party chairman were; former PDP treasurer and assistant treasurer of the local government, former party ward chairmen and other supporters.
The former chairman and his people were received by the APC Chairman in the state, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru on Thursday.
Presenting the defected members to Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Kana-Zuru assured them of equal treatment.
He urged the new members to feel at home, saying: “Be rest assured of equal treatment, there will be no discrimination between you and old members of the party.
“Let me use this medium to inform you that APC as a perty will carry all of you along, so that together we will carry the party and the state to greater heights.”
Counselling the new members, Gov. Nasir Idris assured them that they would never regret defecting to the rulling party.
He assured them that they would be carried along in all aspect concerning the progress of APC.
The governor advised them to join hands with old members of the party to bring more cohesion in the party.
“I want you to work hand-in-hand with other members of the party to ensure victory of APC at all levels in any election,” he urged.
