Niger state chief Judge announced 2025 annual court vacation, starts July 28

BABA- SIRAJDEEN., MINNA

The Chief Judge of Niger State, Hon. Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, has officially announced that the High Court of the Judiciary in Niger State
will embark on its 2025 annual court vacation starting Monday, July 28, and will return for the new legal year on Monday, September 8th, 2025.

In a circular dated June 17, 2025, addressed to all Ñiger State High Court judges, Justice Halima Ibrahim cited Order 45 Rule 4(d) of the High Court civil Procedure Rules, 2018, granting her the authority to set the dates for the yearly judicial recess.

“I hereby declare that the Court will proceed on Annual Vacation beginning from Monday, July 28th to Sunday, September 7th , 2025,” the Chief Judge stated. “The Court will resume for the New Legal Year on Monday, September 8th 2025.”

Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik also extended warm wishes to her fellow judges, hoping they enjoy “a very restful and most rewarding vacation.”

While the break provides judges time to rest, reflect, and prepare for the demands of the upcoming legal year, a Justice Aisha Wodut Bawa of Suleja Division has been selected as the vacation judges will be on standby to handle urgent or emergency matters that may arise during the recess.
