Thirty four old years ex-convict sentence to 4 years in prison by Minna Chief Magistrate court for Criminal Conspiracy

A Thirty Four years old ex-Convict Abdulmalik Abdullahi has been Convicted and sentenced to a total of four years behind correctional facility, by a Minna Chief Magistrate court Number two Hajiya Rahamatu Adamu Gado.

The ex-Convict was found guilty of four count charges which bothered on Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal trespass, Mischief and theft.

According to the police Prosecutor Inspector Aliyu Yakubu Kuta the four count charges were punishable under section 60,348,327 and 283 of the penal code law of Niger State 2025.

In the Police First Information Report,(FIR), marked MN/CM/CR/32/2025 made available in court and obtained by our reporter stated that on the 1st of June,2025, at about 9 o’clock in the evening one Flight Lt Arabio Mohammed Hussain of the Nigeria Airforce NAF Base in Maikunkele Minna Niger State, reported at GRA Police Station.

” That his neighbor’s gateman name Adamu that he was inpossesion of his house’s spare key that some thieves had invaded his house the previous night and carted away with his 12.5 kg gas cylinder valued N 67,000″

He stated further that while at his working place, he received a phone call from the same gateman informing him that the thief was later identified to be Abdulmalik Abdullahi of Bajego area of Minna who conspired with one Sha’aban Dogo of the same adress now at large.

They criminaly trespssed into his apartment and mischiviously destroyed his air conditioner by cutting off his pipe valued N300,000.

” You were arrested with the items while our accomplice escape. In the course of Police Investigation, you Abdulmalik Abdullahi confessed to the police that you and Sha’aban Dogo actually invaded the complainant house as earlier reported and stole his 12.5kg cylinder and sold to scavenger (Yan gwogwoni) at the rate of N 8,500.

When the four count charges were read to him, he admitted commiting the offences and the Police Prosecutor Inspector Aliyu Yakubu Kuta told the court to summarily convict him in accordance to the Provision of section 190 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) of Niger state 2021.

While passing her verdict on him,the Presiding Chief Magistrate Hajiya Rahamatu Adamu Gado noted that the convict previous conviction demostrated a pathera of behavior that would warrant a more severe punishment.

” The court is aimed at protecting the society and deterring you from Commiting offence or commission of same or same offences”.she declared

She then Convicted and senteced him to four years in Correctional Custody without any option of fine in three count charges while one of the charge is with N200,000 option.

The sentences are to run consecutively.
