Niger state high court four grant interim order restraining 10 councilors from commencing impeachment process on Chanchaga Local Government Chairmen

Niger state High Four has granted an interim order restraining Ten Councillors of Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State from commencing any process of impeaching the suspended chairman of the Local Government, Aminu Yakubu Ladan.

Granting the order Justice Mohammed Mohammed of High Court Four said upon hearing the Motion Ex parte brought under order 38 Rule 4 and 8 of the

Niger State High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2018 and under the inherent jurisdiction of the Court as moved by Anthony Orifunmishe Esq. Counsel Applicant seeking some reliefs that include.

An order of Interim Injunction restraining the 10 defendants, particularly Yahuza Saidu and Mohammed Mohammed from acting on or taking further actions on the
Notice of suspension issue to the plaintiff on 28th July, 2025 pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for
interlocutory injunction.

The second order is an order of Interim Injunction restraining the Councillors and the Attorney General Niger State defendants from initiating and/or commencing the processes for the removal or impeachment of the plaintiff from Office of Chairman of Chanchaga
Local Government and from removing the Plaintiff from office by whatever means pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for interlocutory injunction.
