Niger NLC Vice Chairman honoured by NAPS in MINNA

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) presented an award titled “Social transformation Award”to Comrade Engr Abubakar Takuma, the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Niger State.
The event which took place at the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC secretariat,in Minna was led by the Students Senate Leader Comrade Napoleon Oladipo,who commended Takuma for his unwavering selfless service to humanity, Nigerian students, and the nation.
According to him, the NLC Vice
Chairman has been very committed and supportive at the recent NSUBEB protest, Oladipo emphasized the union’s recognition of his exemplary track record in advocating for educational issues.
Takuma in his acceptance speech, appreciated the Students Unions for the honour, and acknowledged the importance of Education particularly the vital role polytechnic education played in national development.
He further explained that polytechnics serve as the backbone of industrial growth in many developed countries by equipping students with the practical skills essential for economic progress.
Takuma also used the occasion to call on well meaning individuals to support Polytechnic education to enhance better society,stressing that individuals within this field are equally critical to national advancement as those in any other sector.
He however assured the students Union of his continued support and advised them to focus on advocating for improved educational policies and resources, rather than engaging in unproductive protests.
