Hardship at alarming proportion in Nigeria, Bishop Ndana.

The Bishop of Anglican Communion,Kutigi Diocese in Lavun local government area,of Niger state, RT Reverend Jeremiah Ndana Kolo has lamented the economic hardships facing Nigerians said it has reached  an alarming proportion.

The Bishop stated this at the end of this years three days Synod held at St John’s Anglican church Mokwa, stated that it has reached high crescendo as Nigerians can no longer afford the prices of food stuffs in Nigeria markets.

The theme of this years synod which is confession of faith and it’s confirmation which begins on Friday 31st of May to the 2nd of June 2024, streamline part of activities lined up for the 2024 which includes, widows end of the year thanksgiving and to honour distinguish personalities.

Those to be honored includes ,Mr James Bake tetengi recently appointed permanent secretary and Princes Rachel Yisa given political appointment by the present Niger state government,also to be honoured is another six Eminent personalities celebrating their 70 years who have contributed immensely for the growth of Christianity in the Diocese.

The  administrator  of the Diocese,Rev Solomon Gana expressed gratitude for his mercies to meet together in another session of the 2024 Synod,

In his sermon on Friday the first day of the Synod the administrator admonished Christians to imbibe the historical background of Christianity as stated in the book of acts 11:23 “we should all be pillar not caterpillar”.

In his good will message the Bishop of Bida Diocese,Jonah Kolo Commended the Bishop of Kutigi for making this years synod successful an historic  moment as part of activities to enhance the work of God.

The Communique issued at the end of the first session of the fifth Synod signed by the Bishop Jeremiah Ndana Kolo reinterated the need for government to redouble efforts to urgently curb the menace of insecurities,like Banditry and Kidnappings which  have become daily phenomenon across the country.

The  Synod asked Christians to be contended with what ever they have and Love God with all their hearts and strength and to as well love their neighbors as themselves inspite of economic hardship urged government to be more proactive in curtailing the monster.

It Commended the Niger state governor,Farmer Mohamed Umar Bago for his exceptional commitment in the areas of youth employment,agricuiture and infrastructural development across the state, while efforts be put in place to curtail insecurity particularly the youth restiveness.

It however urged Christians faithfuls to double their efforts in spreading the gospel to inculcate the habit of Godliness in human race, adding that Christians are not only to confess their faith but to put it to practice no matter life challenges.

28 house of Clergy and 37 House of Laity grace the three days annual event held at the St John’s Anglican church Mokwa.
