Stakeholders urged to persuade FG to complete federal roads in Niger.-Ebbo.

Stakeholders and National assembly members from Niger state have been asked not to relent in persuading the federal government to focus more attention in completion of federal roads across the state to avoid the collapse of Nations economy.
The special adviser to Governor Umar Bago on Media and strategy, Abdullbergy Usman Ebbo stated this in an interview with Journalist in MINNA, said the visit of the Minister to the state is very commendable to see things by himself but should not end as a jamboree.
Ebbo decried that it is high time for the stakeholders and National assembly members to persuade federal government to ensure the completion of the federal roads under construction across the state for the past 14 years considering the burden of projects initiated by Governor Umar Bago to develop the state.
Abdulbaqy Ebbo said the Governor Umar Mohammed Bago cannot get all the projects done alone coupled with several projects ongoing in the state, adding that roads in Niger state is linked to saveral parts of the country as such is a strategic state in the country.
He further explained that Federal Government roads within the state in deplorable condition over the years are the Suleja-Minna road awarded fourteen years ago,Lambata -Lapai – Bida roads,the Kontagora-Rijau road awarded over ten years, and Baro road projects.
The special adviser decried that the resources available in the state have been proposed to fix roads within the state in addition to fixing health, education along with the ongoing massive agricultural revolution.
Ebbo revealed that the situation is more worrisome as Niger State is the center of Nigeria, pointing out that the economy of the country will collapse if Niger State roads were to be closed, hence the call for more federal presence to ameliorate the plight of the people.
He said inspite of enormous opportunities that abounds in the state, there is need for the federal government to support Governor Mohammed Umar Bago even as he is already taking the lead on agriculture in the country.
