The high court sitting in Lokoja has today granted a stay of execution against the earlier judgement restricting Ohinoyi from performing his official duties. This means that the Ohinoyi of Ebira can continue his official duties henceforth while the case at the appeal Court continues.

At this juncture, His Royal Majesty acknowledged the resilience and peaceful conduct of the entire Ebiras both at home and in diaspora, he is thrilled on the solidarity and show of concern by the government at all levels, religious bodies, group of individuals and everyone who shared in the trying period.

He reiterated that court proceedings, judgement and the appeal are all part of the process of Ohinoyi as it is a norm not just in Ebira Kingdom but across Africa tradition as he sighted some instances that where monarchy is being practiced are not in exception.

He urged sons and daughters of Ebira Kingdom both at home and in diaspora to be law abiding and go about their normal routine as he will continue his role, duties and serve the best interests of the land.

God bless Ebiraland
God bless Kogi State
God bless Nigeria.
