Gov. Idris directs payment of N2.185bn entitlement to ex-coucillors from 2004-2024

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has directed the payment of N2.185 billion entitlement to ex-coucillors who served from 2004-2024.

Giving the directive while receiving the leadership of Kebbi State Councillors’ Forum on a courtesy visit at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, the governor assured them of necessary support to succeed.

He also ordered the immediate part payment of the amount by Friday, instructing that the remaining balance should also be paid by end of July.

The Chairman of the forum, Hon. Bello M. Gulumbe appreciated the governor for honouring what he said many successive administrations refused to honour.

He assured the governor that all the ex-coucillors in the state had no option than to rally round him to actualise his dreams.
