NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT MOURNS THE PASSING OF FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who passed away today in London.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Alhaji Abubakar Usman described the late former President as a patriotic leader, a statesman and a man of integrity who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria.

The SSG noted that Buhari’s leadership, both as a military Head of State and a democratically elected President, left an indelible mark on the nation’s history.

According to Alhaji Usman, “The Government and people of Niger State extend our deepest condolences to the immediate family of the late President, particularly his wife, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, his children and the entire Buhari family. We also commiserate with the Government and people of Katsina State and indeed all Nigerians.

Alhaji Usman further prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the former President’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family, the Government and people of Katsina and all Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
