Atiku resignation: Niger PDP Chairman says the party will now wax stronger

As resignation of members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP continies across the country, the Chairman of the party in Niger state Alhaji Tanko Beji says the party is not bothered by the move especially the resignation of former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from the party saying the party will now wax stronger.
He stated this in Minna on Thursday maintaining that the resignation of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from the party did not in any way affect the effectiveness of the party.
Alhaji Tanko Beji declared ” his ( Atiku’s) resignation is a good thing for him, it is also a good thing for our party, one person goes five persons come in”
” It is good we wish him the best of luck just like he wished us the best of luck”
Continuing he said  “,Atiku met us in the party, he left before and came came back, people didn’t leave the party, he left for ACN people didn’t leave the party, when he didn’t get what he wanted he came back now he has left again let him go
“Political party is a thing of goodwill if he thinks leaving the party will make him win the presidency we will wait and see” Tanko Beji declared.
Giving insight into the party Congress to elect new state  working committee SWC members  the state PDP Chairman disclosed that the party Congress will take place in September.
“We are working round the clock to hold the state Congress in September, Iam not contesting but will put in place the committee to Organise the Congress he declared.
In another development the Administrative Secretary of the party Alhaji Jibrin Akwanu has resigned from the party and have pitched tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
The former administrative secretary told our correspondent that he decided to leave the PDP things are falling apart and the center can no longer hold
