- 2027: PDP re-strategizes, convenes consultative confab

In a significant gathering that underscored the enduring strength and resolve of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a Consultative Conference was on Wednesday convened by the founding fathers of the party in Abuja.
The conference has as theme, ‘Reclaiming Our Legacy, Reviewing Our Collective Vision’.
Addressing the epochal event, Prof. Jerry Gana, one of the founding fathers, delivered a compelling address at the all-important event.
The event brought together top party leaders, Governors, trustees, Senators, representatives, former Governors, Ministers, Ambassadors, women leaders, youths’ leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Prof. Gana extended a warm welcome to all attendees, acknowledging the presence of distinguished party leaders, elected officials, and supporters.
He emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in advancing the party’s agenda.
Prof. Gana reaffirmed that the Peoples Democratic Party is “alive flourishing, adding that they are powerfully mobilizing for the restoration of good governance, peace, security, and prosperity to Nigeria.
He declared emphatically that “PDP is alive and well”, highlighting that the founding fathers of the part were “profoundly moved by timeless principles” when establishing the party in 1998.
He further underscored the party’s foundational commitment to democratic values, social justice, and national development.
The PDP consultative conference, convened by the founding fathers also served as a platform for mobilization and strategy.
Gana said, “We are mobilizing party members and outlining strategies for achieving PDP’s goals in Nigeria’s dynamic political landscape.
“We are also fostering unity among party leaders and stakeholders amid Nigeria’s evolving political challenges.”
Prof. Gana also reaffirmed PDP’s commitment to good governance, peace, security, and prosperity for all Nigerians.
The PDP chieftain also acknowledged the the steadfastness and loyalty of the members, saying, “it is the bedrock of our revival.
“To the Nigerian public,hope is not lost, a new PDP is emerging, reformed, responsive and ready.
“We shall not rest until Nigeria is rescued and until the economic works.”
Prof. Gana also maintained that PDP was fully committed to restoring security and making sure that democracy thrives.
He added, “Until when our national economy has been bolstered to create wealth.
“We shall rise again and triumph, triumphantly.”
