Niger State Government pledges to close housing deficit in the state
By Hassan  Danladi Idris
The Commissioner for Housing and  Urban Renewal in Niger State Hon. Abubakar Umar, has assured that the state government would bridge the gap in the housing deficit across the state.
The Commissioner in a recent interview with journalists shared some exciting developments that were set to reshape the housing landscape in Niger State.
Commissioner Umar disclosed that the government has taken significant strides by establishing agreements with land developers to expedite housing projects in the near future.
This collaboration was expected to bolster the state’s housing infrastructure, addressing the growing need for accommodation in the region.
Furthermore, commissioner Umar highlighted the government’s commitment to revitalizing abandoned housing projects throughout the state.
This initiative according to him, was aimed at making optimal use of existing resources and addressing housing shortages by bringing these projects back to life.
Notably, the commissioner revealed that the state government has given its approval for the continuation of the construction of the long-abandoned Three Arms Zone project.
The renewed efforts and commitment from the Niger State government, according to the commissioner, signaled a promising future for housing and urban development in the region, with a focus on increasing housing options and revitalizing critical infrastructure projects
