Prof. Kuta Yahaya pays homage to Ladoja, Olubadan-designate

By Mohammed Baba Busu

A former Director, University Media Centre, University of Ibadan, Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, has paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.

Yahaya, who is also the Pro-Chancellor of A.A. Kure University, Minna, visited the monarch on Wednesday in Ibadan, where he delivered a congratulatory letter on his ascension to the throne.

The don, in his message, expressed gratitude to Allah and joined millions of well-wishers in celebrating what he described as a most deserving elevation of the monarch to the revered stool of his forebears.

“This divine elevation is not only a testament to His Majesty’s perseverance, resilience, and unyielding commitment to truth and justice, but also a reflection of Allah’s grace and will,” Kuta-Yahaya said.

He added that his discussions with the monarch centred on the fortitude and steadfastness that defined his journey, noting that his life bore “unmistakable evidence of divine orchestration.”

Kuta-Yahaya, a former Secretary to the Niger State Government, prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for the Olubadan-designate in discharging the responsibilities of his new office.

“I am persuaded that under his reign, Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large shall reap abundant blessings,” he said, expressing optimism that the monarch’s national stature and international connections would bring prosperity and renewed pride to his people.

The Magatakarda Nupe and Waziri of Ibadan Land further prayed for long life, sound health and fruitful years for the Olubadan, describing his reign as one destined for peace, progress and dignity.

“On behalf of my family, friends and well-wishers, I once again convey my warmest congratulations,” Kuta-Yahaya added.
