NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT CALLED UPON TO INVESTIGATE THE RELEASE OF SUSPECT FROM CORRECTIONAL CENTRE

There was palpable tension in  Evugi Community of Gbako Local Government area of Niger State over the sudden appearance of an alleged suspect believed to  have been remanded in correctional centre.
The appearance of the suspect mallam Dauda shabako who was alleged to be involved in the killing of three persons sent shivers down the spines of members of his community.
Recalled that the Minna Chief Magistrate court presided by Hajiya Ummih Mohammed have issued bench warant for his arrest for his participation in the killing of the  three Persons
He was said to have been released from the correctional Custody during the Public holiday as declared by the Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago even as the chief Magistrate who remanded him was on her annual vacation.
Speaking with Journalists members of a committee  in Evungi Community Comrade Nakordi Penta Evungi said the release of the suspect has become a thing of concern in the community as some group of youths have threaten a show down.
Mallam so Dauda Shabako journey to remand at the correctional centre began in 2022 when Some youths from Biramafu Community in Gbako Local government area invaded Evungi village killing three Persons over a road path linking Evugi village which has been a subject of dispute between the the two villages in the last seven years.
During one of the crisis in the community Jibrin Saba (Alhaji Wuyagi), Abubakar Mohammed (Baba Abu) and Mohammed Ndagiman were brutally killed by the irate youths from Biramafu while one other person was said to have been killed by the Evungi youth during a reprisal attack.
Speaking with Journalists in Minna  Thursday,  a member of youths committee in Evungi  Community in Gbako Local Goverment  Mallam Nakordi Penta Evungi  called on Niger Governor Umar Mohammed Bago to as a matter of urgency deploy security forces to the community to forstall any unforeseen  security breach by the two warring Communities.
He disclosed that since the release of  Dauda Shabako the relative peace enjoyed by the villagers is being eroded as the youths in Evungi vowed to go for reprisal attack if step are not taken by the appropriate authority.
He further appealed to the governor to as a matter of necessity prevail on the state Commissioner of Police and other relevant security forces in the state to quickly effect the arrest of Dauda Shabako in the interest of peace and security of the people of Evugi.
Mallam Nakordi then appealed to the youths in the community to remain calm and maintain peace  and not to take the law into their hands assuring that the Niger state government will take the appropriate step to bring peace in the community.
