Niger state NUJ Correspondents chapel elect Yakubu Mustapha Bina as Chairman

The Niger State correspondent chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has elected Yakubu Mustapha Bina as its Chairman to serve for the 2nd term
The elected Chairman is the state correspondent of the People’s Daily Newspaper were he has rendered his services for over a decade.
He emerged as an unopposed candidate with other executives during their election and inauguration held at the chapel office in Minna, Niger state capital.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Yakubu Mustapha Bina promise to pursue with vigour the welfare package of members assuring also that the unity, stability, integrity and transparency in its finances would be his cardinal approach .
According to him, the time has come to move the chapel to a more respected height saying also that his leadership ensure peaceful coexistence, trust and genuine dialogue.
He extolled the chapel members, the electoral committee and NUJ Niger State Council led by the state council chairman, Comrade Abu Nmadu for their peaceful conduct, supervision and fatherly role in ensuring a free, fair, credible and acceptable election.
The Chairman of the NUJ Niger state council, Comrade Abu Nmodu in his remarks, advised the new EXCO to be more organized and give every member the opportunity to add value to the journalism profession.
He also commended the corespondents Chairman, Mustapha Yakubu Bina, for his honesty and justice during his first tenure and urged him to continue with the good work by carrying all members along in the activities of the union.
The New Executives include; Nura Mohammed of voice of Nigeria as Vice Chairman, Dan Atori Okpole of New Telegraph – Secretary, Abubakar Akote of Daily Trust – Assistant Secretary, Pricilla Dennis – Treasurer, Rita Iliya of News Agency of Nigeria – Financial Secretary and Mustapha Nasiru Batsari of Voice of America as the Auditor respectively.
Comrade Yakubu Mustapha Bina is experienced and has served in the executive capacity of the chapel at various levels that include; financial secretary, one term acting treasurer and acting secretary, served as two term secretary and now to serve his second term as chairman of the chapel.
