EASTER: NSCDC BEEF UP SECURITY WITH 1,700 OFFICERS AND MEN

The commandant Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps  (NSCDC) Nigeria state command Mr Joachim Okafor says it has deployed a total of 1,700 men and officers of the corps to beef up security in strategic areas across the state towards  ensuring the safety of the citizens during the Easter holiday.
He made this known at the weekend were he posited that  the measure has became imperative  inview of the prevailing Security challenges bedeviling some parts of the state.
The Commandant who gave all these charges in a press statement signed by the command’s Public Relation Officer, DSC Mohammed Rabiu Muti. directed that surveillance activities, foot vehicular patrols across the state would be fortified to forestall any breach of peace in the state.
Okafor made it clear that 1,700 personnel have been deployed to monitor all strategic areas in the state such as Churches ,Motor Parks, Recreational centers and all the Critical National Asset and Government Infrastructure in the State.
He appealed to the residents to report any suspicious activities to the Corps or other sister security agencies in the State.
He then directed all the Area Commanders, Divisional officers and all the Operational Commanders to ensure the safety of the members of the public during, and after the celebrations.
