Christians in the country have been asked to emulate the exemplary life of the lord Jesus Christ to humanity, just as we celebrate Easter to mark his death and resurrection.
The Bishop of Church of Nigeria, Anglican Diocese Kutigi,in Lavun local government area of Niger state,Rt Rev,Jeremiah Ndana Kolo stated this in his Easter Sunday sermon at Kutigi.
He admonished Christians to show love in any cercumstance they found themselves as Jesus Christ at the point of death prayed for the forgiveness of sin of those who crucified him at Golgotha.
Bishop Jeremiah further explained that the rise of the lord Jesus Christ also signifies victory over sin and death,”Christians should however rise up against any obstacle that may separate them from the love of God.
Bishop Ndana Kolo dwell his sermon on the scripture of the book of Jhon 3:16 pointed out that,”God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
“The light has come unto the world through Jesus Christ but because of worldly things people deviated and decides to follow evil and embraced wickedness,thus negates the Kingdom of God, Christians are the salt of the world,should embrace peace and joy”.
According to the Bishop,” We all have sinned and come short to the glory of God, what is left as Christians is to continue to pray for our leaders from the president,Governors and to our councillors for the favour and grace of God upon us to be free from the present economic challenges facing our Nations”Bishop Ndana re-enphasised.
