APC organises stakeholders’ meeting to consolidate unity amongst members

 

The Kebbi State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has organised a stakeholders’ meeting with a view to cementing cordial relationship between political appointees, elites and other politicians in the state.

The meeting was held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

In an opening remark, the Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida said the essence of the meeting was to brainstorm on how to transform the state and bring unity amongst political elites and ensure good governance.

In his speech, the State Party Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru noted with satisfaction the cordial relationship existing between politicians and elites in the state.

He assured the present administration’s readiness to develop the state and bring positive development to all parts of the state.

Also speaking, the former Minister and ex-Senator, Maj.-Gen. Muhammad Magoro (rtd), commended the present administration under the able leadership of Comerade Dr Nasir Idris for what he described as gangatic projects he embarked opun.

He appealed to the governor to reconsider the Koko-Zuru road for rehabilitation.

Responding, the Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr Nasir Idris thanked the people for supporting his administration to deliver dividends of democracy to the state.

“As I promised In-Sha-Allah I am going to support the good people of Kebbi State by empowering them and providing infrastructure across the state,” he assured.

Speakers at the meeting were; Alhaji Kabir Sani-Gaint, Special Adviser to the governor on Political Matters and Power, Alhaji Mansir Sheahu, Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Zayyanu Umar Aliero, Commissioner, Special Duties as well as Aisha Gunabi, Women Leader among others.

Those in attendance were; the Deputy Governor, Sen. Umar Tafida, the two former Deputy Governors, Alhaji Bello Danteni and retired Col. Sama’ila Yombe-Dabai, Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, Chief of Staff to the Governor Barr. Attairu Maccido, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar (Buro) as well as commissioners and top government officials among others.
